Wardrobe stylist in Los Angeles | JUMANJI Board Game Commercial

Wardrobe stylist in Los Angeles | JUMANJI Board Game Commercial

As a wardrobe stylist in Los Angeles, I had the luck of working with Spin Master. We were shooting for 2 days this Jumanji board game commercial spot in a house located in Los Angeles, California.

Jumanji is a 1995 American fantasy adventure film directed by Joe Johnston from a screenplay by Jonathan Hensleigh. The story centers on a supernatural board game that releases jungle-based hazards upon its players with every turn they take.

The approach of the Jumanji board game commercial concept is defined by beautiful lensing and film language that feels rich, filmic, and immersive. From an animated invasion of ants to a snare of vines wrapping around our legs, our viewers will experience a seamless integration of high CGI and textured live-action world. The overall feel of this spot was a balance between the upbeat energy of the gameplay and the adventure-filled moments of the Jumanji spirit coming to life.

We wanted the spot to feel contemporary, but that doesn’t mean the environment needed to be overly modern or bright. We can have a sense of timelessness in our architecture and set dressing.

The client was produced for Spin Master. Spin Master is a leading global children’s entertainment company creating exceptional play experiences through a diverse portfolio of innovative toys, entertainment franchises, and digital games.

The commercial was produced by Concrete Media. Concrete is a cinematic content studio based in the USA.

I had a wonderful time working with Spin Master and Concrete Media as a wardrobe stylist in Los Angeles, I hope to create a long-lasting relationship with them in the future.

TV Commercial Wardrobe Stylist | Rubik’s Cube Commercial

TV Commercial Wardrobe Stylist | Rubik’s Cube Commercial

As a TV commercial wardrobe stylist, I had the luck of working with Rubik’s Cube. We were shooting for 2 days this commercial in a studio located in Los Angeles, California.

The commercial was produced by Concrete Media. Concrete is a cinematic content studio based in the USA.

The Rubik’s Cube is a 3-D combination puzzle invented in 1974 by Hungarian sculptor and professor of architecture Ernő Rubik. Originally called the Magic Cube, the puzzle was licensed by Rubik to be sold by Ideal Toy Corp. in 1980 via businessman Tibor Laczi and Seven Towns founder Tom Kremer.

The commercial concept was a bright, colorful approach that uses the iconic colors and grid of the Cube as visual elements in a dance video-style TVC. The video shows that Rubik’s is for everyone and that it’s fun in a way that brings a YouTube/Tik-Tok-inspired style to linear TV. Each character inhabited a color-blocked, monotone world with a few key props and accents that inform the viewer of what kind of person they are. I styled 6 actors in various outfits.

When creating a timely look, there is a lot you can do with color. Once I’ve decided on a palette that works with my theme and location, finding the right clothes is easier. I look for plain, unbranded pieces in the shades I need and start building outfits. Layering is everything. It makes the look more individual, more real, and more versatile.

I had a wonderful time working with Rubik’s Cube and Concrete Media as a TV commercial wardrobe stylist, I hope to create a long-lasting relationship with them in the future.
