I love my job as a hairstylist and makeup artist and I enjoy working with a wide range of different looks and styles that my clients request. As a Los Angeles hairstylist, I mostly work on beauty, fashion, commercials, television, film, and movies.

Hair and makeup are a vitally important part of the filmmaking process, even if it’s not always obvious. Hairstylists and makeup artists help the director tell stories about characters and help the cinematographer make their vision a reality. As a hairstylist, I style the actors’ hair in whatever manner is required for the character.

I had an amazing time collaborating with The Beachwaver as a Los Angeles hairstylist, I hope to create a long-lasting relationship with them for the future. As Hollywood pushes to become more diverse, as an expert makeup artist and hairstylist I’m more in demand than ever in order to properly prepare actors of diverse skin colors and hairstyles to be camera-ready. Thankfully to companies like The Beachwaver, my kit is fully stocked with the best hair products. They sent me their S1 ceramic rotating curling iron that provides easy, quality waves in minutes.

Los Angeles Hair Stylist | DevaCurl Partnership

Los Angeles Hair Stylist | DevaCurl Partnership

As a Los Angeles hair stylist, I partnered with DevaCurl, salon-quality hair tools, and styling products that deliver healthy, naturally gorgeous, frizz-free curls.

About DevaCurl: DevaCurl started in New York City in 1994 as a salon specializing in curly hair. The salon became so popular that it launched a product line that is free of harsh ingredients and specifically designed for curly hair. The first Devachan salon was founded by Lorraine Massey and Dennis Da Silva in 1994 in New York City. Massey, a hairstylist, developed the “Curly Girl Method” and authored the book “Curly Girl: The Handbook” as guidelines for naturally curly hair care.

As a Los Angeles hair stylist, I’m in charge of the entire hair department, and I report directly to the production team and clients. I always love to try new products, DevaCurl sent me various amazing texture/volumizing sprays, dry shampoo, hair masks, and conditioners.

Curly Hair Tips and Tricks for Perfect Curls:
  1. Always comb your hair from the bottom up.
  2. Get regular trims to avoid split ends.
  3. Use product “cocktailing” to define and hydrate curls.
  4. Incorporate a conditioning treatment into your regimen.

The reason why I love DevaCurl products is that they have the best treatment for everyone. Curls with low porosity require lightweight products and heat treatments to look their best, while curls with high porosity need butters, oils, and proteins to keep them moisturized and healthy.

I had an excellent time collaborating with DevaCurl as a Los Angeles hair stylist, I hope to create a long-lasting relationship with him for the future.

Wardrobe Stylist in Los Angeles | Jordan Hawkins Artist Profile Shoot

Wardrobe Stylist in Los Angeles | Jordan Hawkins Artist Profile Shoot

As a wardrobe stylist in Los Angeles, I styled the L.A. based singer/songwriter/multi-instrumentalist Jordan Hawkins, he builds a hypnotic atmosphere with his music, inviting the listener into an alternate reality that moves at its own unhurried pace.

With his impossibly smooth vocals and powerful range, the 23-year-old North Carolina native delivers a minimalist yet potent breed of R&B, infusing each track with his one-of-a-kind guitar work: shapeshifting, meditative, endlessly expressive of the unrestrained emotion at the heart of every lyric. Now at the helm of his debut project, Jordan Hawkins is on his way to becoming one of music’s most exciting new additions. He is currently signed with ICM Partners.

ICM Partners is one of the world’s leading talent agencies, dedicated to the representation of artists, content creators, broadcasters, authors, journalists, and artisans.

I’ve worked with 2 showrooms to pull Jordan’s looks from. One of them was Mannfolk PR, Mannfolk Public Relations is a boutique public relations agency located in sunny Los Angeles. The other showroom was ETCETERA Los Angeles.

ETCETERA Los Angeles was founded by Jade Ikazoboh, a fashion industry professional who’s background includes public relations, event production, and styling.  Jade noticed a void for an all-inclusive agency that combines her skillsets along with all assets needed to properly launch a brand from start to finish.

I had a great time working with Jordan Hawkins and Reeevves as a wardrobe stylist in Los Angeles and I hope to create a long-lasting relationship with them for the future.

As a Los Angeles key hairstylist, I’m in charge of the entire hair department, and I report directly to the production team and clients. Usually, I execute the hair styling for one or two principal actors or models.
