As a Los Angeles commercial stylist, I had the luck of working with Tiger House Films team on a 3-days commercial shoot in Los Angeles, CA. I did wardrobe styling and hair/makeup on multiple talents during this photo + video production.

In November of 2020 THF team in Los Angeles was contacted by an international real estate developer to create a commercial showcasing a brand new luxury project in the Middle East. Our shoot took place in Los Angeles, CA at multiple locations in and around the city with a multi-national cast.

Our real estate commercial production showcased a development nestled in the foothills of the majestic Himalayan mountain range, seamlessly blending state-of-the-art amenities that have been tailor-made for the entire family with outstanding natural surroundings, entertainment, and an authentic sense of community.

Our project took place at multiple locations including Century City Mall, The Griffin Club, a private home in the Hollywood Hills, and more. Please click the link at the top of this article for a look at the entire commercial project.

On set, as a wardrobe and personal stylist, I’m responsible for making the outfit look its best for the production. Whether I’m working on a film, a television commercial, a reality show, photoshoot, tv show, or prime time television, as a film wardrobe stylist, I must get the look and feel of the clothing needed for the production that I’m working on.

Beverly Hills Wardrobe Stylist | 2021 Spring Summer Trend Forecast

Beverly Hills Wardrobe Stylist | 2021 Spring Summer Trend Forecast

As a Beverly Hills wardrobe stylist, I work a lot on TV commercials, adverting and fashion shoots around the world. Being a fashion stylist I constantly follow the latest fashion trends. Keeping up with the latest fashion trends can be tricky, you constantly need to watch out for existing fashion brands, new rising star designers, and spotting the latest trends before anyone else.

Key Fashion Trends from Spring/Summer 2021 Fashion Weeks:
  • Oversized Shoulderpad Boyfriend Jackets
  • Black Face Masks
  • Brushed Florals
  • Head Scarfs
  • Folk Inspired Coats
  • Yellow and Camel Color Styling
  • Sorbet Pastel Tones
  • White Knee High Boots
  • Yellow Bags

Flowers, which signify new beginnings, peppered the runways. Some designers took an all-over approach by mixing florals head-to-toe. SS21 trend brushed florals are on point right now. Exotic Blooms mix off-beat colour combinations on bright grounds with intricate romantic floral motifs then add an exotic twist.

I love to follow designers as a Beverly Hills wardrobe stylist to get inspired. The bolder, the brighter, and the more impactful seems to be the only way forward for spring. Designers certainly aren’t here for wilting daisies; instead, they’re bringing the floral motifs in sunny yellows, on neon tulip dresses, and on gala-worthy ball gowns in shades of pink so incandescent you’ll need shades to look straight at them.

Fashion Week is the ultimate time to spot the newest trends. Fashion Week happens twice a year here in the US in New York City, once in the second week of September, and once in the second week of February. In the first you will catch the newest Spring/Summer trends and in the second you will catch a glimpse of the Fall/Winter top trends.

Wardrobe stylist and makeup artist in Los Angeles | SUMMONED Short film

Wardrobe stylist and makeup artist in Los Angeles | SUMMONED Short film

As a wardrobe stylist and makeup artist in Los Angeles, I’ve had the opportunity to work with Disney and 20th Digital. I was the lead makeup artist and wardrobe stylist on this project. The SUMMONED short film was produced by Justin Bell Productions and we shot in a house located in Los Angeles, California. I styled 2 talents through multiple wardrobe changes during this production.

Bite-Size Halloween 2020 features 30 exciting new filmmakers, amplifying their voice in the film community. This year’s cohort includes a well-rounded group of filmmakers representing different countries, identities, and backgrounds. The long term goal of 20th Digital Studio’s short film programs is to continue to guide and finance the growth of these artists’ careers.

On the LA Times: With its high production value and comic undertones, the short film could easily stand-in for a Super Bowl commercial. In fact, the two-minute video created by an L.A.-based filmmaker will begin running next week between Halloween-related programs on the Disney-owned cable channels FX and Freeform and will stream on Hulu. Read the full article here: https://www.latimes.com/entertainment-arts/business/story/2020-10-08/why-disney-betting-spooky-short-films-sponsored-brands?fbclid=IwAR0Z89ldWf6BUfECvxUsR1J6F_tdjQTKJOAEJq0cJLIOYT1Vx3gyd9SDdaE

“There’s a unique way of telling stories in that medium where they can be funny or heart-wrenching or scary, all in this very short period of time,” said Michelle Steffes, who directed the M&M’s short. “I would want to watch a two-minute short film rather than watching four 30-second commercials. So hopefully, other people will feel the same way.”

I had a wonderful time working with Justin Bell Productions, 20th Digital, and Disney’s team as a wardrobe stylist and makeup artist in Los Angeles, I hope to create a long-lasting relationship with them for the future.
