Traveling Sport Stylist | Retro Reverse Adidas NHL Jersey Fashion Show

Traveling Sport Stylist | Retro Reverse Adidas NHL Jersey Fashion Show

As a traveling sport stylist, I had the luck of working with Adidas and NHL on a Retro Reverse fashion show in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Everything old is new with the Adidas Reverse Retro alternate jerseys, a play on all 31 NHL teams’ throwback jerseys with modern twists. This marks the first time every NHL team is included in an alternate jersey rollout, and the collection is a colorful mix of primary and secondary logos, old school and new school striping, and reimagined classics.

As a traveling sport stylist, I was assigned to work on fourteen models, and my goal was to create the perfect looks for each of them so they would look great in the NHL hockey jerseys on the fashion show.

One of the things I love about my job is that it teaches me how to be flexible. Traveling for a job is a prime example of this. I love planning what to bring and checking what I need ahead of the fashion show so that I can come to the location ready to take on the task.

Each jersey was inspired by one worn by the team during a season with some historical significance; the entire design process took about two years. Teams will wear the jerseys multiple times this season, including designated rivalry games.

I had a wonderful time collaborating with Adidas and NHL as a stylist in Las Vegas, I hope to create a long-lasting relationship with them in the future.

Wardrobe Stylist in Miami | Studio Fashion Photography

Wardrobe Stylist in Miami | Studio Fashion Photography

As a wardrobe stylist in Miami, I collaborated with Matt Pluz, a Miami based fashion photographer to work on a fashion shoot with him and model, Taylor Piper. We shot these images for 1 day at Matt’s Miami studio.

Fashion photography is one of those niches that escapes strict definition and for the most part, it is free from creative restriction. You can shoot whatever you want, in a studio or outside, however you want, as long as you are telling a story. It’s true that clothes, accessories, and makeup form a huge part of the story, but at the end of the day you’re providing a glimpse into an imagined world through your unique perspective.

As a wardrobe stylist in Miami, I conceptualize outfits for the shoot from brands who fit the brief, and I go out and borrow, buy these items for the shoot, dress the models in an organized and creative fashion, and ensure that all items are accounted for at the end of the day and returned. As a stylist, I collaborate with the fashion photographer and help advise on everything from how the story is shot to how the story can be presented once it’s finished.

I was the key HMUA as well on this shoot, hair and makeup make all the difference when it comes to bringing your fashion story to life, as they can place the fashion model into the world you’ve envisaged with much more realism and relative ease than post-production can ever achieve.

It was such a pleasure to work with Matt Pluz and Taylor Piper on this project and I wish to work with them again on another production as a wardrobe stylist in Miami.

Miami Wardrobe Stylist | Lotus Cars Photo + Video Shoot

Miami Wardrobe Stylist | Lotus Cars Photo + Video Shoot

As a Miami wardrobe stylist, I got hired by VistaAerials to work on a Lotus Cars photo + video shoot. VistaAerials was contacted by Lotus Cars to hire as a commercial production company in Miami to produce their commercial in Miami, Florida.

Miami is one of the fashion hubs of the USA, I styled 2 models from Next Management. I wanted to “make a statement” with style and at the same time matching the models look to the cars. How you dress, talk is “who you are” to most people, truly your own brand. Few people will ever come to know the “real you”, so your personal style, your car choice is an effective way to quickly show the world your polish, determination, goals, and ambition. This is the reason why it was really important for me to find the right pieces of wardrobe to match this sports car commercial shoot. Usually, I shop 3-4 times more wardrobe then we actually need because I want to present a ton of options to the client.

About Lotus Cars: Lotus Cars Limited is a British automotive company that manufactures sports cars and racing cars with headquarters in Hethel, England. Lotus cars include the Esprit, Elan, Europa, Elise, Exige, Evora, and Evija sports cars and it had motor racing success with Team Lotus in Formula One.

It was such a pleasure to work with Lotus Cars and Vista Aerials on this project and I wish to work with them again on another car commercial production as a Miami wardrobe stylist.

Las Vegas Wardrobe Stylist | Adidas Fashion Show

Las Vegas Wardrobe Stylist | Adidas Fashion Show

Traveling is one of the best parts of my job as a Las Vegas wardrobe stylist, which was where I worked on a fashion show for Adidas. For this, as with every job, my goal was to match the brand identity and create the appropriate looks for the client.

Adidas AG is a multinational corporation, founded and headquartered in Herzogenaurach, Germany, that designs and manufactures shoes, clothing, and accessories. It is the largest sportswear manufacturer in Europe and the second-largest in the world.

As a Las Vegas wardrobe stylist, I was assigned to work on fourteen models, and my goal was to create the perfect looks for each of them so they would look great in the N.H.L. hockey jerseys on the fashion show. When working with a sports brand, the style is pretty straight forward. I love it when I am able to pull off great looks, even when the available items are limited because it allows me to be creative with the colors and shapes of the outfits.

One of the things I love about my job is that it teaches me how to be flexible. Traveling for a job is a prime example of this. I love planning what to bring and checking what I need ahead of the shoot so that I can come to the location ready to take on the task.

Another thing I love about this job is that I get to work closely with brands, most of which I would personally use and recommend. Usually, the producers are very detailed when it comes to the instructions and briefs in regards to the show, and they really appreciate it when you take the time to study the client’s brand identity and ensure that the looks I create suit the brand’s image.
