Commercial Wardrobe Stylist | The Ritz-Carlton Hotel Print Campaign

Commercial Wardrobe Stylist | The Ritz-Carlton Hotel Print Campaign

I worked with Christian Mushenko photographer and director as a commercial wardrobe stylist for The Ritz-Carlton Hotel during a print campaign in Shanghai, China. We were shooting during one afternoon/evening at The Ritz-Carlton’s top floor. I had 2 models to style from ESEE Model Management.

It was a great opportunity to collaborate with Christian because he just flew in from Sydney, Australia for a business meeting. Our project theme was introducing a young Asian couple’s lifestyle who is on a trip discovering Shanghai. As a commercial wardrobe stylist I changed the models wardrobe multiple times through the day to match their clothing to our story.

A commercial wardrobe stylist is a multi-functional role within the production team. Dressing the models in accordance with the photographer direction and effectively managing their day to ensure that shoot targets are achieved. A passion for current culture, trends, and brands is critical to the success of the role. The Ritz-Carlton is a business oriented hotel so we wanted to keep our models styling matching to the brand’s identity.

About The Ritz-Carlton: 100 years of history. Countless rewards. With an unshakeable credo and corporate philosophy of unwavering commitment to service, both in our hotels and in our communities, The Ritz-Carlton has been recognized with numerous awards for being the gold standard of hospitality. The Ritz-Carlton inspires life’s most meaningful journeys.

I was privileged to work on this commercial advertising campaign with Christian Mushenko photographer and The Ritz-Carlton. The final pictures are used internally in the company.

Production Coordinator in Los Angeles | Mani Jassal SS18 Fashion Video

Production Coordinator in Los Angeles Mani Jassal SS18 Fashion Video

I was hired by Tiger House Films as a production coordinator in Los Angeles to create Mani Jassal SS18 fashion video. Tiger House Films Los Angeles video production company teamed up with Toronto based Indian fashion designer Mani Jassal to create a fashion video production for her SS18 collection of traditional Indian designs with a modern edge.

The fashion collection was inspired by a story of an inner journey from a chaotic self-image to inner peace in the garden of desire. Our model Vita Mallela flew in from New York to showcase Mani Jassal’s designs at an Italian villa in the Hollywood Hills.

This was Tiger House Films Los Angeles video production company’s debut collection with Mani Jassal. Her large social media following and rapid growth globally prove the ever-increasing demand for a brand like hers. Her aesthetic is widely recognized all across the world with her pieces being worn by celebrities and influencers like Ashanti, Nazanin Mandi, Madison Beer, Bebe Rexha, Sonam Bajwa, Gigi Gorgeous. Her clothing has also been published in international and national magazines like Vanity Fair, Vice Magazine, Playboy, Marie Claire, and Stardust.

Tiger House Films Los Angeles fashion video production team was able to capture multiple looks during our one day shoot in Hollywood. My job as a production coordinator based in Los Angeles was keeping us on schedule and making sure we shot all the Mani Jassal SS18 styles we planned capturing. Staying lightweight and mobile along with a strict shooting schedule allowed us to move around the multi-level location quickly and efficiently to give Mani the maximum production value for her collection’s photos and fashion video.

Los Angeles Production Coordinator | IKARIA Resort Wear SS18

Los Angeles Production Coordinator | IKARIA Resort Wear SS18

I was involved in the project as a Los Angeles production coordinator. Tiger House Films has produced a behind the scenes brand video production for our Ikaria fashion commercial / high fashion photo shoot. The project is behind the scenes for the debut of their SS18 ready to wear collection in a gorgeous private home location in Palm Springs. Ikaria’s luxurious coverups are inspired by the jet-setting lifestyle and exotic travel destinations.

This behind the scenes brand video production captures a rare glimpse into the process of shooting our fashion video / high fashion still photo shoot productions. The technical process of the creation of these campaigns is seldom captured due to the fact that our Los Angeles production company only shows the final released and finished products for brands and agencies.

Our supermodel talent for this brand video production was Victoria’s Secret supermodel Barbara Fialho who is originally from Brazil. Our beautiful talent has incredible charisma and her experience over 15 years in the industry shined on camera . Her background as a ballerina gives her the ability be aware of her movements and balance for camera.

Tiger House Films video production team worked seamlessly with photographers Melis+Dainon to create a combination photo & video campaign for Ikaria. This is the second collaboration with Melis+Dainon and they are featured in the behind the scenes production as well.

Palm Springs is the perfect location for a high fashion video and photo production. The dramatic desert mountains provide a beautiful backdrop where nature and bright sunshine are all a part of the incredible aesthetic.

Los Angeles Creative Coordinator | Royal Enfield Interceptor Commercial

Los Angeles Creative Coordinator | Royal Enfield Interceptor Commercial

I have many different responsibilities as a Los Angeles creative coordinator such as coordinating the wardrobe, the looks for hair and makeup, and the styling in regards to the client’s requests.

I’ve recently lent my services as a Los Angeles creative coordinator and wardrobe stylist in two commercials for Royal Enfield and Tiger House Films led a company called Storyteller.in based in Mumbai, India. Storytellers.in was founded in 2015 under the direction of Arun Gopalan. Over the last three and a half years, the company has worked on many different campaigns that have earned them some notoriety in the industry.

Tiger House Films is an award-winning commercial production located in Los Angeles founded by Jason Kent Carpenter, who also works as a freelance producer and director. The Enfield Cycle Company makes motorcycles, bicycles, lawnmowers, and stationary engines under the name Royal Enfield.

I worked on the Storytellers’ first American shoot as their Creative Coordinator on a commercial shoot in Los Angeles. We shot for five days in various locations including Downtown LA, Malibu, and Pismo Beach.

My main duties on this shoot included:

  • Contributing to the creation of creative materials
  • Handling day-to-day project tracking and management with internal cross-functional teams and agency partners.
  • Assisting in creating and developing briefings
  • Becoming familiar with details of the campaigns in order to keep the team on track
  • Asset management (workflow/timelines), transferring between internal and external departments and ensuring timely delivery.

Since 2012, I’ve worked with many different clients from all around the world. When I had started my journey in Shanghai, I never could have imagined the immense amount of experience in fashion films, commercials, web and TV contents, and photoshoots that I’ve obtained in the last six years. Working as an L.A. creative coordinator may not be an easy task, but it’s a fun one nonetheless.

Mobile Fashion Stylist | Midol online commercial

Mobile Fashion Stylist | Midol online commercial

As a Mobile fashion stylist, my work includes lots of traveling but mostly consists of working in the greater Los Angeles area. I’ve worked as a fashion stylist on many different short films and commercial shoots.

One of my recent gigs involved working with the director, Sonia Meg on a commercial for Midol. Midol is a website sponsored by Bayer U.S and offers medical services in women’s health. Bayer’s website includes a variety of content such as their software, graphic and fashion designs, photoshoots, artwork, artistic work, videos, music, sound, brands, and services.

Sonia Meg is a filmmaker based in Los Angeles. She’s worked on many different types of projects such as documentaries, short films, music videos, etc. We worked together for two days in an advertisement photoshoot. Midol’s gave Sonia and me the creative freedom we needed to make for a great experience.

Some of my duties on the Midol online TV commercial as a Mobile fashion stylist included:

  • Keeping up to date with current and changing trends in fashion and design according to the brand guidelines
  • Advising the client on fashion styling for visuals.
  • Selecting the most appropriate pieces from collections and ranges for the shoot.
  • Supervising the commercial shoot

Fashion stylists work for individuals, fashion houses, and clothing brands, and will sometimes require traveling to different parts of the world. Some of the main responsibilities include providing fashion advice, choosing and coordinating outfits for models in photo shoots or actors in television and film; and choosing props and accessories and preparing them for shoots. Working as a freelance Mobile fashion stylist in Los Angeles has given me the opportunity to be more creative with styling, choosing which style is better for each shoot, what works and what doesn’t, and learning something new every day.
