How to Tie a Tie | Fashion Stylist in Los Angeles

As a fashion stylist in Los Angeles I got a chance to work on a How to Tie a Tie video with The Knot Worldwide. We shot a series of tie videos at a home studio location in Silver Lake, CA. There are a ton of different ways to tie a tie, varying in formality, style, and difficulty. What works best for someone often comes down to the suit or shirt with which you’ll be wearing your tie.

The videos were directed by Erin Brown Thomas, she is a writer-director whose evocative narratives will make you laugh and cry. Her directing portfolio includes recent wins at Hollyshorts, Cinequest, and Catalyst Story Institute. Other Oscar-qualifying festivals have awarded her work over the past decade.
