As a traveling hair and makeup artist , I mostly work on TV commercials, branded videos, fashion shoots, events and photo shoots around the world. Recently I had the luck of working on the Travel By Design unique storytelling series.

About Marriott: Marriott Hotels & Resorts is Marriott International’s brand of full-service hotels and resorts based in Bethesda, Maryland. As of June 30, 2020, there were 582 hotels and resorts with 205,053 rooms operating under the brand, in addition to 160 hotels with 47,765 rooms planned for development.

Designer Sherry Kobashigawa’s career began in set design, which explains her drive to encorporate storytelling into the elements of her creative process.

Kobashigawa joined the team at Le Méridien Salt Lake City Downtown after construction was already underway. Nevertheless, she got to work and designed the hotel, including Parisien and Mid-century influences that meet at the intersection of the story, the landscape and the building itself.

Inspired by the mountains and the setting of Salt Lake City, Kobashigawa drew upon the grid system the city was built on to inspire the art and textiles to bring it all together. “We wanted to tie in this notion of found items as well as the element of travel.” It was the spirit of the golden age of travel that brought the story to life in a way that helped everything fall into place.

Stella Rosa Campaign Wine | TV Commercial makeup artist

Being a TV commercial makeup artist , I mostly work on TV commercials, branded videos, fashion shoots, events and photo shoots around the world. Recently, I got a chance to work on a Stella Rosa wine commercial shoot in Los Angeles, CA. We shot this commercial during 1 day in a beautiful house location. We had 8 talents in total and we captured 4 commercial spots. I created camera ready/ natural beauty hair and makeup looks for everyone.

For some time, the wine industry reigned as one of Southern California’s most economically significant and popular industries of that time.

I got hired by Stept Studios, Stept is an award-winning creative and production studio known for work that feels more line entertainment than advertising. They partner with brands, agencies, and platforms to create campaigns, commercials, and branded content with authenticity at its core. Their award-winning roster of directors represents the next generation of storytellers, working across commercial and documentary genres.

Los Angeles celebrity makeup artist | How to become one?

As a Los Angeles celebrity makeup artist , I mostly work on TV commercials, branded videos, fashion shoots, events and photo shoots around the world.

When it comes to picking your career, it’s important to do something you love. If makeup is something you love and you want to pursue becoming a celebrity makeup artist but you don’t know where to begin, have no fear. I have all the tips and advice you need to help jumpstart your career in the beauty world. From doing your research to taking classes, being patient, and working hard every day – I pulled together a bunch of tips to help you start your career.

Start with a cosmetology school, I did my education in Budapest, Hungary.
Look for opportunities and build your portfolio, collaborate with photographers, directors, models.
Keep learning, these days, there are a ton of ways to learn your craft. Whether it’s Instagram, TikTok, or YouTube, there are so many videos that are available online for free that can help you learn different skillsets.
Stay Professional, it’s important to be accomodating, always ask permission and respect privacy.
Build brand relationships, whether it be through social media or attending events, building brand relationships is essential when it comes to becoming a pro. There are different ways you can go about this and one way is by doing makeup tutorials using certain brands to gain exposure.
Make connections on events and sets. The key to being a successful makeup artist is making the right connections along the way. Word of mouth recommendations are the key for most makeup artists in building their client lists. It is important to network with people in the industry.

Recently, I got a chance to collaborate with Saint Jane Beauty, the award-winning, luxury skincare made with beautiful florals and modern, science-backed actives to calm skin stress, soothe irritation and detoxify pores.

As a celebrity hair stylist in Los Angeles, I collaborated with SACHAJUAN. Hair is a woman’s main event, it’s tresses before dresses, but in Hollywood, your hair is your actual fortune. I love creating beautiful looks and for that SACHAJUAN luxury products are a huge support at my work.

SuperMouth World Premiere | Celebrity makeup artist

Being a celebrity makeup artist, I mostly work on TV commercials, branded videos, events and photo shoots around the world. Recently, I got a chance to work on the SuperMouth World Premiere in Los Angeles, CA at the iconic Chinese Theatre. I was the key hair and makeup artist on this project for the superheroes.

About SuperMouth: In this family adventure, we meet the SuperMouth Squad, a team of superhero dentists and their comical sidekicks, as they attempt to stop villainous candymaker Cavitar from spreading Sugar Bugs to ruin teeth throughout the galaxy—starting with an epic battle in the mouths of two children.

The movie premiered at Dances with Films festival. Since 1998 DANCES WITH FILMS has grown from presenting a handful of films to more than 200 each year…from narrative features and shorts to include the top documentaries, music videos tv & web on the circuit today. In 2007 DWF brought new commitment to the indie world with the advent of the 2 Minute, 2 Step Short Film Challenge where we actually shoot 10 films during the festival and present them to enthusiastic audiences. In 2012 the festival moved to its current location – the famed Chinese Theatre in the heart of Hollywood. From there it has expanded to 11 days with ever increasing sold out theatres.

I got hired by LUXHAMMER, a full-service production and management company with creative capabilities dedicated to bringing the visions of writers, filmmakers, IP holders, ad agencies, and brands to life.

LUXHAMMER was founded on the idea that, to make any filmed entertainment that’s truly memorable, it needs two things: spectacle – what gets people to watch, and truth – tapping into something about who we are as human beings, that’s explored through the characters and the choices they face. LUX represents truth and HAMMER represents spectacle.

Marriott Travel By Design | Traveling makeup artist

Being a traveling makeup artist, I mostly work on TV commercials, branded videos, events and photo shoots around the world. I got a chance a couple of weeks ago to work with Marriott on their Travel By Design series in Los Angeles, CA. I was the key hair and makeup artist on this project.

Travel By Design is a hotel design series with a difference. It tells the story of visionary architects and designers who chased those sparks as far as they would go. Across four episodes and for very different destinations, they peel back layers of thinking and unpack their personal creative process as we check into some of the world’s most unique and delightful hotels.

These episodes were produced by Stept Studios, a Los Angeles based production company. Marriott Bonvoy came to Stept to develop a travel series featuring their most iconic properties, many that are not known to be part of the Marriott Bonvoy family. They treated the series as a collection of films that charted the journeys of visionary designers or architects, pairing each with a different Stept director to tell the story with a unique cinematic view.
