Wardrobe Stylist and Makeup Artist | Interview with Promenad24

As a wardrobe stylist and makeup artist, I had the luck of collaborating with Promenad24 on an interview article. Promenad24 is a Hungarian newspaper and news channel. It was my second time collaborating with them.

My main responsibilities as a hair and makeup artist on set:

Responsible for the overall design, application, continuity, and care of hair for on-air talent for daily live and taped productions.
Create and design desired hair look to meet production requirements.
Accompany talent onto the set, touch up hair between segments, ensuring that continuity is maintained.
Utilize combs, brushes, and blow dryers to style hair.
Shape hair to the desired style of the production team.
Thorough knowledge of hairstyles, hair care products
Work collaboratively
Consult with the production team, talent, or guest to establish the desired look for the on-air production.
Create and apply make-up to meet production requirements.
Accompany talent onto the set, touch up make-up between segments, ensuring that continuity is maintained.
Remove make-up as necessary
Demonstrate strong and proven make-up application skills including techniques to create specific designs for example, corrective and contouring effects.
Proven skills in glamour/fashion and demonstrated ability to use make-up colors and changing lighting conditions.

As a wardrobe stylist, I’m responsible for making the outfit look its best for the production. Whether I’m working on a film, a television commercial, a reality show, a photoshoot, tv show, or prime time television, as a film wardrobe stylist, I must get the look and feel of the clothing needed for the production that I’m working on.

Freelance Hair and Makeup Artist | Jewelry Campaign Shoot

As a freelance hair and makeup artist, I had the luck of working with Boobie Bling on a 1-day campaign shoot in Los Angeles, CA. I did hair, makeup, and wardrobe styling on multiple talents during this photoshoot production. We shot this campaign in an amazing villa located in LA.

Boobie Bling is jewelry designed to highlight your boobs. Whether you have A cups, K cups, big boobs, small boobs, or anything in between – this is for you. Show off your boobs on your terms. This isn’t about objectification; this is liberation. All Boobie Bling products use high-quality manufacturing methods. They are made of brass with nickel-free plating. The gold has a true 14K gold plating. All BoobieBling chains have an E coating for a longer-lasting finish and fewer scratches.

We wanted to embrace the model’s natural beauty with the wardrobe and hair-makeup. We had 3 themes during this production, for the first looks we were going for bohemian styles, the second had an edgy theme and for the third one, we choose nighttime looks. The natural makeup look is all about soft glam and a golden glow. Natural beauty is making a comeback, from makeup to injectables, the way we look is changing. For a glowing skin I live to use Glossier, NARS and Make Up For Ever products.

Los Angeles Makeup Artist | LG Electronics TV Commercial

As a Los Angeles makeup artist, I had the luck of working with LG Electronics Inc. on a 1-day commercial production in Los Angeles, CA. I did hair and makeup on multiple talents during this video production.

The first commercial video for LG RESU by LG Energy Solution. The motto of this video was: “The Real Strength” – Lifestyle Your wonderful life must go on. LG will always be there to back you up.

LG Electronics Inc. is a South Korean multinational electronics company headquartered in Yeouido-dong, Seoul, South Korea. LG Electronics is part of the fourth-largest chaebol in South Korea. LG Electronics focused on developing new innovations across the globe. They are committed to providing electronic products that help customers live better.

The commercial was directed by Amit Gupta. L.A.-based director Amit Gupta has had an international upbringing. He has lived and worked in the U.S., Europe, Asia, India, and the Middle East shooting commercials, music videos, and films. Known for his strong visuals, beautiful imagery, and cinematic authenticity, he is able to infuse global culture and aesthetics into all of his work.

This spot was produced by Justin Bell Productions, he is a feature film, TV, and branded entertainment producer based in Los Angeles. Currently, he’s an executive producer at Tempo helping to oversee the tech fitness company’s media content, In Oct. 2020, his horror-comedy with Disney/20th Digital – “Summoned” – aired on FX, Freeform, and Hulu.

Celebrity Makeup Artist in Los Angeles | Audemars Piguet Live Show

As a celebrity makeup artist in Los Angeles, I had the luck of working with Audemars Piguet‘s team on a 1-day live show production in Los Angeles, CA. I did hair and makeup on multiple talents during this video production, including Kevin Hart. The hair and makeup direction given by the client was camera-ready.

About Audemars Piguet: Audemars Piguet produces some of the finest, most highly coveted watches the world has to offer. The company has written some of the finest chapters in Haute Horlogerie, they are based in Switzerland.

Kevin Darnell Hart is an American stand-up comedian, actor, and producer. Born and raised in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Hart began his career by winning several amateur comedy competitions at clubs throughout New England.

The event was about Audemars Piguet‘s new collaboration with Marvel. Hosted by long-time friend Kevin Hart and Audemars Piguet’s CEO François-Henry Bennahmias, the live show was full of laughter and encompassed a live band, a music performance by Giveon and the unveiling of Audemars Piguet’s Royal Oak Concept “Black Panther” Flying Tourbillon limited edition. The event culminated with the auction of a unique Royal Oak Concept “Black Panther” timepiece, the proceeds of which will go to the joint programme Audemars Piguet has established with two non-profit organisations, First Book and Ashoka.

I had a wonderful time working with Kevin Hart and Audemars Piguet‘s team as a celebrity makeup artist in Los Angeles, I hope to create a long-lasting relationship with them in the future. The event was produced by Gradient, an experimental marketing agency.

As a hair and makeup artist in Los Angeles, I had the luck of working with Ergatta‘s team on a 2-days campaign shoot in Los Angeles, CA. I did hair and makeup on multiple talents during this video production. The hair and makeup direction given by the client was camera-ready.

Makeup + hair for fitness / athletic print commercials and major marketing campaigns are usually minimalistic and natural. When we are doing our photoshoot outdoors, chances are that we will be exposed to the sun for at least one to two hours so I always start with using sunscreen. I also like to use primers which not only help with prolonging the wear of your foundation but also add a ‘smoothing’ and ‘blurring effect’ to your skin. Huge pores look very obvious in close-up portraits, so it always helps to use a product that can cover the pores.

Eyeliner and mascara are also key elements for a minimalistic makeup look. when it comes to applying eyeliner, in many ways less can be more. When you are using brown or black eyeliner, you should be careful not to line the inner rim too heavily, Last but not least, remember to set your makeup so that your makeup stays on for as long as you need.

As a lifestyle video makeup artist, I had the luck of working with Gardenhouse and Wicked+ team on a lifestyle video shoot in Beverly Hills, CA. I had 1 female and 1 male model to do camera-ready hair and makeup for during this production.

About Gardenhouse: Gardenhouse reimagines the modern lifestyle of Beverly Hills with expertly designed homes. These 2-story, 3-bedroom penthouses feature high-ceilings and expansive views of the city. The first project in the United States from world-renowned MAD Architects.

Wicked+ is a full-service branding, marketing, public relations, and design firm based in Hermosa Beach, California. They specialize in designing market-defining brands and crafting highly-personalized PR, social, and advertising campaigns that are focused on lifestyle, brand storytelling, and consumer engagement.

I love my job as a Los Angeles makeup artist and I love working with a wide range of different looks and styles that my clients request. I get excited about working with agencies such as Wicked+. I am always curious as to what I can contribute to these projects. Most of all, I delight in seeing my work used by clients in their social media posts, campaigns, and websites. In this lifestyle branded video for our models, I created natural and camera-ready hair/makeup looks.

Working as a hair/makeup combo on branded videos allows me the freedom of creating a full glam look for the artists, models, and actors. Onset in Los Angeles, we always run into unexpected situations so it is very important to be on top of your task.

The job of a leading Hollywood hairstylist starts in pre-production, by creating and designing the hairstyles for the film. The key hairstylist, the person in charge of the hair department, works with the director, production designer, and key makeup artist to create original designs that fit into the overall visual pastiche of the film.

As a key hairstylist, I oversee the hair department and delegates responsibilities to individual hairstylists. The duties of other stylists in the hair department include:

Work with the key hairstylist to learn all hair designs prior to shooting.
Style the actors’ hair on shoot days.
Ensure that no products, wigs, or prosthetic caps damage the actors’ natural hair or skin.
Provide hair care or skincare tips that may help the actors during a shoot.
Maintain all wigs in the hair and makeup trailer.

I love to use it, this is the ultimate body makeup essential. Try spraying the foundation onto a brush or makeup sponge, then blend onto your face. Doing it this way will save you from wasting a ton of excess product, allow you to manage the amount of coverage you want. Once you get used to the product, you can apply directly to your face from the spray bottle.
