Los Angeles celebrity makeup artist | How to become one?

As a Los Angeles celebrity makeup artist , I mostly work on TV commercials,  branded videos, fashion shoots, events and photo shoots around the world.

When it comes to picking your career, it’s important to do something you love. If makeup is something you love and you want to pursue becoming a celebrity makeup artist but you don’t know where to begin, have no fear. I have all the tips and advice you need to help jumpstart your career in the beauty world. From doing your research to taking classes, being patient, and working hard every day – I pulled together a bunch of tips to help you start your career.

  1. Start with a cosmetology school, I did my education in Budapest, Hungary.
  2. Look for opportunities and build your portfolio, collaborate with photographers, directors, models.
  3. Keep learning, these days, there are a ton of ways to learn your craft. Whether it’s Instagram, TikTok, or YouTube, there are so many videos that are available online for free that can help you learn different skillsets.
  4. Stay Professional, it’s important to be accomodating, always ask permission and respect privacy.
  5. Build brand relationships, whether it be through social media or attending events, building brand relationships is essential when it comes to becoming a pro. There are different ways you can go about this and one way is by doing makeup tutorials using certain brands to gain exposure.
  6. Make connections on events and sets. The key to being a successful makeup artist is making the right connections along the way. Word of mouth recommendations are the key for most makeup artists in building their client lists. It is important to network with people in the industry.

For When You Get Lost Feature Film | Los Angeles Costume Designer

For When You Get Lost Feature Film | Los Angeles Costume Designer

Being a Los Angeles costume designer means I can work anywhere and at any time. I mostly work on TV commercials, films, branded videos, events and photo shoots around the world. I got a chance to costume design For When You Get Lost, my first feature film.

Summary of the film: In this coming-of-middle-age dark comedy, June Stevenson drags her estranged sisters on a road trip up the Pacific Coast in order to make amends with their difficult father before he dies. Along the way, she distracts herself with picturesque landmarks, craft breweries, and picturesque men in craft breweries, but ultimately she must face the fact that there’s more to her family’s fractures than she thought. Inspired by a real road trip.

We’re thrilled to announce that “For When You Get Lost” will have our WORLD PREMIERE as an official selection of the Austin Film Festival!

Saint Jane Beauty Collaboration | Celebrity makeup artist

Saint Jane Beauty Collaboration | Celebrity makeup artist

As a celebrity makeup artist , I mostly work on TV commercials,  branded videos, fashion shoots, events and photo shoots around the world. Recently, I got a chance to collaborate with Saint Jane Beauty, the award-winning, luxury skincare made with beautiful florals and modern, science-backed actives to calm skin stress, soothe irritation and detoxify pores.

About Saint Jane Beauty: Inspired by their namesake SAINT JANE, a bold and determined feminist-before-her-time from the 1500s, Jane De Chantal dedicated her life to healing people who were shunned by society – the sick, elderly, and unwed mothers. Supporting organizations that foster change, inspire hope and call for equality and inclusivity has been their mission since they launched in January 2019. They’re passionate about organizations they believe are changing the world, one person at a time.

I received their Saint Jane x Favorite Daughter Luxury Lip Oil Duo, and it is soon to become my favorite lip look. The all-natural lip oils are a blend of eight simple ingredients–including Vitamin C, Camomile and Aloe–for a nutrient-rich, never-sticky, soft shine. The gift set (with the prettiest packaging) includes our long-wearing Calm & Chaos shades–a subtle, sheer nude and a deeper tone for day-to night shine. Wear alone, layer over another lip color, and apply at bedtime to nourish and hydrate that perfect pout.

The brand’s PR agency is Sunny Communications, they do a bit of it all in beauty, lifestyle, entertainment and beyond! Los Angeles based – globally focused agency.

I had an amazing time collaborating with Saint Jane Beauty as a celebrity makeup artist in Los Angeles and hope to create a lasting business relationship with them for the future.

Shoutout LA Interview | Celebrity Stylist and Makeup Artist

Shoutout LA Interview | Celebrity Stylist and Makeup Artist

As a celebrity stylist and makeup artist in Los Angeles, I had the luck of getting interviewed by Shoutout LA Magazine.

About Shoutout LA: Shoutout LA is part of the Los Angeles based Voyage Group of Magazines and our flagship publication, VoyageLA was started in 2015.  Since then they’ve grown to almost a dozen cities, generated millions of page views and helped tens of thousands of entrepreneurs and creatives share their stories. Along the way they’ve built a vibrant and highly engaged community and Shoutout is about giving that community an opportunity to go beyond stories.  By focusing on topics that are relevant to almost everyone we hope to inspire important conversations within the community and do so in way that puts artists, creatives and local businesses at the center of these conversations.

One of my favorite question from this conversation was the following:

“What was your thought process behind starting your own business?
The motivation behind starting my own business was originally my passion to create interesting content and media. I had the drive to help models and actors look their best in front of the camera, boosting their confidence in their professions. I love to collaborate with other like minded creatives and business owners to make their visions come to life.”
