Los Angeles Hair Stylist | DevaCurl Partnership

Los Angeles Hair Stylist | DevaCurl Partnership

As a Los Angeles hair stylist, I partnered with DevaCurl, salon-quality hair tools, and styling products that deliver healthy, naturally gorgeous, frizz-free curls.

About DevaCurl: DevaCurl started in New York City in 1994 as a salon specializing in curly hair. The salon became so popular that it launched a product line that is free of harsh ingredients and specifically designed for curly hair. The first Devachan salon was founded by Lorraine Massey and Dennis Da Silva in 1994 in New York City. Massey, a hairstylist, developed the “Curly Girl Method” and authored the book “Curly Girl: The Handbook” as guidelines for naturally curly hair care.

As a Los Angeles hair stylist, I’m in charge of the entire hair department, and I report directly to the production team and clients. I always love to try new products, DevaCurl sent me various amazing texture/volumizing sprays, dry shampoo, hair masks, and conditioners.

Curly Hair Tips and Tricks for Perfect Curls:
  1. Always comb your hair from the bottom up.
  2. Get regular trims to avoid split ends.
  3. Use product “cocktailing” to define and hydrate curls.
  4. Incorporate a conditioning treatment into your regimen.

The reason why I love DevaCurl products is that they have the best treatment for everyone. Curls with low porosity require lightweight products and heat treatments to look their best, while curls with high porosity need butters, oils, and proteins to keep them moisturized and healthy.

I had an excellent time collaborating with DevaCurl as a Los Angeles hair stylist, I hope to create a long-lasting relationship with him for the future.

It is one of many events at the forefront of what’s known as experiential retail, a delicate dance of marketing, entertainment, and shopping designed to attract consumers. As much as I love shopping for beauty and fashion products I also like to try them and talk about the brands with the creators so it is a perfect combination for me.

Beautycon is an annual beauty festival where attendees can shop products from the biggest makeup, skincare, hair, and nail brands via 150+ booths and activations. Fans can also attend panels that feature beauty’s most influential celebrities, content creators, and entrepreneurs, along with special performances. The event takes place throughout the year in Los Angeles, New York City and Tokyo.

It is described as a fashion and beauty summit for the internet’s most influential and everyone who’s obsessed with them. As a hair stylist in Los Angeles, I collaborated with Sultra Beauty, an innovative, fashion-forward hair tool brand utilizing healing technology to strengthen your hair while you style. Sultra is founded by veteran hairstylist Dana Story in 2008.

Created by a stylist, for stylists, Sultra’s infrared and ionic technology-infused tools promote the healing of the hair and scalp all while breaking down excess moisture and water molecules, both left on the hair and within the surrounding environment, to penetrate the hairs cortex to strengthen and hydrate the hair from within. Mobile Makeup Artist Los Angeles | Old Hollywood Beauty

Mobile Makeup Artist Los Angeles | Old Hollywood Beauty

As a mobile makeup artist Los Angeles, Emmanuel Guillermo photographer hired me and model Jenna Curtis for an old Hollywood beauty inspired photoshoot in Los Angeles, California.

Jenna Curtis is an Austrian actress, singer, and model. She grew up in the capital music city of Vienna, where she was trained in Acting and Musical Theatre. In 2013 Jenna moved to Los Angeles, California which has been her home base ever since.  Before Jenna became a singing actress, she was traveling Europe as a model, while working on original Indie-Pop music.

I created an old Hollywood glamour hair and makeup look for Jenna Curtis.Old Hollywood makeup consisting of a killer cat eye, lightly blushed cheeks and, of course, a bright red lip. It’s the perfect go-to look for anyone who wants to look polished but perhaps isn’t too keen on trying a more daring beauty trend of the moment, I absolutely love creating this look for my clients.

Old Hollywood glamour hair and makeup is dramatic but not over-done. This style is to make you look your best and it involves full foundation coverage, accentuated contours, blush, and so on. To create an old Hollywood style evening look, you need to style your wardrobe as well, the best is to choose a floor-length gown of satin or velvet.

It was a pleasure to work with Emmanuel Guillermo and Jenna Curtis on this project and hope to work with them again on another production as a mobile makeup artist.

One of our model talent for this brand video production was Amanda Lynn Steele who is originally from the US, she is a video blogger, model, and actress. Our beautiful talent has incredible charisma and her experience over 15 years in the industry shined on camera . Her background as an actress gives her the ability be aware of her movements and balance for camera. She started her YouTube channel, MakeupByMandy24, in 2010. Celebrity Makeup Artist Los Angeles | Creative Artists Agency Event

Celebrity Makeup Artist Los Angeles | Creative Artists Agency Event

As a celebrity makeup artist Los Angeles, I got asked by one of my best friends to do her CAA event the Golden Globe Awards hair and makeup look. I created a classic black smokey eye makeup look. This iconic makeup style looks good on everyone and is universally flattering.

Being a celebrity makeup artist Los Angeles, I advise these 3 things to know before starting your smokey eye:
  • The key is to always keep the darkest point at the lash line. It keeps the makeup really modern and fresh, and ensures you are drawing more attention to the eye vs. the makeup.
  • Stick to no more than 3 shadows and a liner to pop your eyes. Keep it simple!
  • Brushes are super important to get that blend. Blend is your friend. When it comes to a smokey eye, it doesn’t matter how dark you go, or what colours you use, it’s how well you can blend the liner and shadow.

The Golden Globe Awards are accolades bestowed by the 93 members of the Hollywood Foreign Press Association beginning in January 1944, recognizing excellence in film, both American and International, and American television.

Creative Artists Agency LLC or CAA is an American talent and sports agency based in Los Angeles, California. It is regarded as a dominant and influential company in the talent agency business and manages numerous clients. In March 2016, CAA had 1,800 employees.

Leading entertainment and sports agency Creative Artists Agency (CAA) represents many of the most successful and innovative professionals working in film, television, music, video games, theatre, and digital content, and provides a range of strategic marketing and consulting services to corporate clients.

It was a pleasure creating Lubi’s hair and makeup look as a celebrity makeup artist Los Angeles.

Los Angeles Hair and Makeup Artist | Saddleback Shoot with OX Creates

Los Angeles Hair and Makeup Artist | Saddleback Shoot with OX Creates

As a Los Angeles hair and makeup artist, I often travel for work. During this project, I collaborated with OX Creates and Justin Bell Productions. This spot for the OX Creates, was shot over 2 days in Orange County, California with a stellar Justin Bell Productions commercial production team.

For this shoot, alongside my duties as a Los Angeles key makeup artist, I was also in charge of the hairstyling as well. Since each of the characters in this brand video are from the 1980s, I needed to ensure the hair and makeup looks for each character were appropriately created in order to represent their stories in the best way possible.

Justin Bell is a feature film, TV, commercial, and new media producer based in Los Angeles. Currently, he’s in post-production on a 1970’s style superhero heist movie – The Hyperions, starring Cary Elwes. In addition to narrative film and TV, Bell specializes in producing commercials and content for non-profit organizations.

OX Creative is a full-service creative agency, partnering with select clients worldwide. They specialize in developing integrated campaigns that combine film, digital, print, and social, built on a winning strategy, and executed to the highest standard of excellence.

It was a pleasure to work with OX Creative and Justin Bell Productions on this project and hope to work with them again on another production as a Los Angeles hair and makeup artist.
