About DevaCurl: DevaCurl started in New York City in 1994 as a salon specializing in curly hair. The salon became so popular that it launched a product line that is free of harsh ingredients and specifically designed for curly hair. The first Devachan salon was founded by Lorraine Massey and Dennis Da Silva in 1994 in New York City. Massey, a hairstylist, developed the “Curly Girl Method” and authored the book “Curly Girl: The Handbook” as guidelines for naturally curly hair care.

As a Los Angeles hair stylist, I’m in charge of the entire hair department, and I report directly to the production team and clients. I always love to try new products, DevaCurl sent me various amazing texture/volumizing sprays, dry shampoo, hair masks, and conditioners.

Curly Hair Tips and Tricks for Perfect Curls:
  1. Always comb your hair from the bottom up.
  2. Get regular trims to avoid split ends.
  3. Use product “cocktailing” to define and hydrate curls.
  4. Incorporate a conditioning treatment into your regimen.

The reason why I love DevaCurl products is that they have the best treatment for everyone. Curls with low porosity require lightweight products and heat treatments to look their best, while curls with high porosity need butters, oils, and proteins to keep them moisturized and healthy.

As a commercial hair stylist in Los Angeles, I collaborated with IGK, an innovative, styling product brand for the modern generation.

About IGK: They’re a team of four innovative stylists from various parts of the globe and vastly different backgrounds unified in a single vision: to create products designed to fit the lives and needs of the client and hairstylist. By focusing on the needs of their clients, they block out the noise and deliver exactly what their look demands — easy solutions, the most current looks and cuts with multiple styling options.

I always love to try new products, IGK sent me various amazing texture/volumizing sprays, dry shampoo, hair masks, and conditioners.

They work in NYC+LA+MIA, plus pop-up salons in culture capitals throughout the world. Every formula they create is inspired by the stylist, his signature city, and the nuances of what’s trending in that space and time.

As a Los Angeles key hairstylist, I’m in charge of the entire hair department, and I report directly to the production team and clients. Usually, I execute the hair styling for one or two principal actors or models. Working as the key hair stylist on commercials/films/television or fashion shoots requires working in a sanitized, organized, and professional hair and makeup room/trailer. As a film hairstylist, I’m in charge of creating character hairstyle designs and styling actors’ hair on set. Being a hairstylist I work on the film, television, and commercial shoots.

As a professional makeup artist in Los Angeles, I attended at the 2019 Beautycon LA event in Downtown Los Angeles, California. It is one of many events at the forefront of what’s known as experiential retail, a delicate dance of marketing, entertainment, and shopping designed to attract consumers. As much as I love shopping for beauty and fashion products I also like to try them and talk about the brands with the creators so it is a perfect combination for me.

Beautycon is an annual beauty festival where attendees can shop products from the biggest makeup, skincare, hair, and nail brands via 150+ booths and activations. Fans can also attend panels that feature beauty’s most influential celebrities, content creators, and entrepreneurs, along with special performances. The event takes place throughout the year in Los Angeles, New York City and Tokyo.

It is described as a fashion and beauty summit for the internet’s most influential and everyone who’s obsessed with them. It is your favorite beauty gurus and YouTubers and all that jazz in one place. You can visit the influencers, ask them questions, learn about amazing beauty products, shop, and watch performances. Being a professional makeup artist it is very important to create a personal connection between you and the brands you are working with.

Being a celebrity makeup artist I have to be always up to date and follow the trend so I can recommend to my clients the best beauty and fashion products that is availble on the market.

I had an excellent time attending the Beautycon LA event as a professional makeup artist in Los Angeles, I hope to go to more beauty events like these in the future.

Working as a Los Angeles hair stylist is a very challenging job. Not all hair type suits a person/project plus that there is a constant need to go with the new trend and seeing what the project requires. As a Los Angeles beauty influencer I often collaborate with different brands. TYME sent to me a package including their Iron Pro, Upstaged Thermal Protectant and their Tymeless Protect & Shine. As a beauty influencer in Los Angeles, I mostly work on TV commercials, branded videos, and campaigns so I always need to have my kit professionally put together for my clients. TYME products really help me to stay professional and ready for any situation.

I love my TYME iron, you can create any hairstyle you like with it!  You should expect your TYME Iron curls to last for days. Below are a couple of tips to help get more life out of your style:

  • Make sure you are curling at a slow speed, with loose tension. If you gliding too quickly down the hair strand your hair won’t properly heat, which can cause your curls to fall.
  • Evaluate your foundational products.
  • Check your temperature setting. If your hair is thick or naturally curly you may need to go up a heat setting to set in your curls.

As a Los Angeles celebrity makeup artist, I mostly work with fashion models, celebrities and social media influencers. Not only for fashion but for makeup, you always need to keep up with the changing trends. On Instagram, there is a huge crowd of followers who love to see collaborations between brands and celebrities. On this NEWLOOK London E-Commerce campaign we worked with fashion influencers from Shanghai, China during a one day photo shoot.

Having worked in the industry as a Los Angeles celebrity makeup artist, clients often require clean, beauty looks to be camera ready. I love how this particular shoot turned out because it is was successful collaboration between influencers and the fashion brand. This project highlights my work as a makeup artist and hair stylist by exposing my style to a large social media audience through influencer posts and tags. For this particular set of talent, I created a clean-cut red lip paired with minimal makeup, keeping the hair loose and embracing natural texture with a little salt spray.
