Professional Makeup Artist in Los Angeles | Beautycon LA Event

As a professional makeup artist in Los Angeles, I attended at the 2019 Beautycon LA event in Downtown Los Angeles, California. It is one of many events at the forefront of what’s known as experiential retail, a delicate dance of marketing, entertainment, and shopping designed to attract consumers. As much as I love shopping for beauty and fashion products I also like to try them and talk about the brands with the creators so it is a perfect combination for me.

Beautycon is an annual beauty festival where attendees can shop products from the biggest makeup, skincare, hair, and nail brands via 150+ booths and activations. Fans can also attend panels that feature beauty’s most influential celebrities, content creators, and entrepreneurs, along with special performances. The event takes place throughout the year in Los Angeles, New York City and Tokyo.

It is described as a fashion and beauty summit for the internet’s most influential and everyone who’s obsessed with them. It is your favorite beauty gurus and YouTubers and all that jazz in one place. You can visit the influencers, ask them questions, learn about amazing beauty products, shop, and watch performances. Being a professional makeup artist it is very important to create a personal connection between you and the brands you are working with.

Being a celebrity makeup artist I have to be always up to date and follow the trend so I can recommend to my clients the best beauty and fashion products that is availble on the market.

I had an excellent time attending the Beautycon LA event as a professional makeup artist in Los Angeles, I hope to go to more beauty events like these in the future.

Professional Makeup Artist in Los Angeles | Drunk Elephant Collaboration

As a professional makeup artist in Los Angeles, I collaborated with Drunk Elephant, clean-compatible skincare products made with efficacious levels of ingredients like L-Ascorbic Acid, Glycolic Acid, and Marula Oil.

The brand name Drunk Elephant is rooted in a myth that says the elephants love to eat the fruit that has fallen from Marula trees. Once eaten, fermentation occurs inside their very large tummies and the elephants become drunk! Virgin Marula oil, straight from the “pip”, can be found throughout the Drunk Elephant line. It is an oil that Masterson believes is superior to ANY she’s tried due to the high content of fatty acids and antioxidants.

Thankfully with many years of experience, I have my makeup kit fully equipped for every project. With the support of the Drunk Elephant, I can have my skincare products fully stocked. Their products are amazing, I love to use them on my shoots. Included in your kit should be the basics: brushes, disposables, sanitation, skincare, and tons of makeup that should be versatile and used for different skin types and tones. Your own kit is unique to you because you have the types of products and tools that you’re comfortable with.

In the entertainment industry, Film and TV might be one of the hardest makeup to create since you’re trying your hardest to make the subject look natural but using products that are HD friendly and full coverage.

Advertising Makeup Artist in Los Angeles | Portrait Shoot with Rémy Tortosa

Professional advertising makeup artist in Los Angeles. I’m a freelance makeup artist and hairstylist with more than 8 years in the industry. I’m a mobile makeup artist based in LA. Available for commercial, advertising, fashion, red carpet, event makeup, bridal/wedding makeup, and any and all media. I also provide wardrobe-fashion styling services for commercials and fashion shoots.

We shot these portrait pictures in Rémy‘s studio in West Hollywood. Rémy is a self-taught photographer who has always had a fascination for people. Born and raised in the suburb of Paris, he moved to Los Angeles in 2016. He is one of those photographers with a humanist approach and he privileges the soul and the personality.

In the Los Angeles entertainment industry, Film and TV might be one of the hardest makeup to create since you’re trying your hardest to make the subject look natural but using products that are HD friendly and full coverage. In the entertainment industry, lights and high-quality cameras are very powerful. With such harsh lighting on set, as an advertising makeup artist, I need to find and use products that will stay on, hide every pore, and always have their touch-up powder with them.

Thankfully with many years of experience, I have my makeup kit fully equipped for every project. Included in your kit should be the basics: brushes, disposables, sanitation, skincare, and tons of makeup that should be versatile and used for different skin types and tones. Men’s Grooming Los Angeles | Blood Of Zeus Book Cover Photoshoot with Brock O’Hurn

I have provided my services as a men’s grooming Los Angeles for the Blood Of Zeus book by Angel Payne and Meredith Wild cover photoshoot. Our celebrity talent was Brock O’Hurn, he is an American model, actor, and fitness trainer.

Meredith Wild is a #1 New York Times, USA Today, and international bestselling author. She lives on Florida’s Gulf Coast with her husband and three children. She refers to herself as a techie, whiskey appreciator, and sun-worshipper. She has been featured on CBS This Morning and the Today Show, and in the New York Times, the Hollywood Reporter, Publishers Weekly, and the Examiner. Her foreign rights have been sold in twenty-three languages.

Angel Payne, is a native Southern Californian, leading to her love of being in the outdoors, where she often reads and writes. She still lives in Southern California with her soul-mate husband and beautiful daughter, to whom she is a proud cosplay/culture con mom. Her passions also include whiskey tasting, shoe shopping, and travel.

About the book, Blood of Zeus: Book One: An ancient grudge. A forbidden love. The only thing worse than being a demon is being a Valari. As an undergraduate at Los Angeles’s Alameda University, Kara Valari can sometimes succeed at forgetting she’s both. It is a fairy tale and a romance novel.

They host portfolios from all of the best global talent and production companies, updated in real-time with the latest work & contact details.

They work with top brands, magazines, and producers globally to build the best freelance creative teams. BLACKBOOK allows production teams to privately manage their freelance rosters, and keep visual records of all past, present, and future projects.

Luckily, I got selected to be in Stylindex‘s roster, they are very particular of their talents, they aim is to help everyone streamline their business so they can focus on what they do best: MAKING BEAUTIFUL WORK.

I love my job as a hairstylist and makeup artist and I enjoy working with a wide range of different looks and styles that my clients request. As a Los Angeles makeup artist, I mostly work on beauty, fashion, commercials, television, film, and movies.

Working as a Hair/Makeup combo allows me the freedom of creating a full look for the models and actors. Creativity is an ability to see beyond ordinary, it is to use the mind and the imagination to create alternatives, possibilities, new and original ideas. On set in Los Angeles, we always run into unexpected situations so on a shoot is very important to be on top of your task.

Makeup Artist Los Angeles | The Ceremony Short Film

As a makeup artist Los Angeles, I’ve had the opportunity to work with Addie Doyle and Lee Hurst on their “The Ceremony” short film. I was the key makeup artist and hairstylist on this project.

Addie Doyle is an LA-based actress and filmmaker whose work has been featured at Chelsea Film Festival, New York Short Film Festival, Independent Shorts Festival, and jellyFest. She spent her youth performing in a dance company in Boston, and now acts, sings, writes, and produces in Los Angeles. She graduated with honors from NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts.

Lee Hurst is a New York-based actor, writer, and comedian, a seen on @comedycentral @elitedaily @refinery29 and on @galore. She is the winner of the JD Power Award for the last three years in a row as well.

About “The Ceremony”: A dinner party between the two leaders of a cult goes awry as they talk about power and the direction of their cult. It will screen in 2021. As an LA-based makeup artist, I created an old Hollywood hair and makeup look for the actresses during this 3 overnight short film production.

Our director was Jeremy Stewart, he likes surreal, dark, magical, and fantastical things. Modern myths, folklore, re-interpretations of stories we’ve all heard before. You can watch the trailer here: https://vimeo.com/360911606

Los Angeles Makeup Artist | Disney Sleeping Beauty Castle Gingerbread House Promo Video

The Walt Disney Company hired me as a Los Angeles makeup artist for their sleeping beauty castle gingerbread promo video. I had 2 artists to do camera-ready hair and makeup for. The girls were professional food stylists, their job is to prepare food for photography, video or film. Making food photogenic is no easy task, and the best food stylists come to the job supplied with an array of methods to make meals look their best.

Disney’s video production team worked in conjunction with the food stylists/artists during our 12-hour brand commercial production day in a studio. The video showcasing the creation of the sleeping beauty castle gingerbread house.

Sleeping Beauty Castle is a fairy tale castle at the center of Disneyland, a redesigned and larger version at Disneyland Park and formerly at Hong Kong Disneyland. It is based on the late-19th century Neuschwanstein Castle in Bavaria, Germany.

The Walt Disney Company, commonly known as Disney, is an American diversified multinational mass media and entertainment conglomerate headquartered at the Walt Disney Studios complex in Burbank, California. From humble beginnings as a cartoon studio in the 1920s to its preeminent name in the entertainment industry today, Disney proudly continues its legacy of creating world-class stories and experiences for every member of the family. Disney’s stories, characters and experiences reach consumers and guests from every corner of the globe.

It was a pleasure to work with Disney on this project and hope to work with them again on another production as a freelance makeup artist.

Freelance Makeup Artist | Disney Crochet Holiday Ornaments Promo Video

The Walt Disney Company hired me as a freelance makeup artist for their crochet holiday ornaments promo video. This branded series production is filmed at Eastham Studios for 1 day in the center of Los Angeles, California. The artist flew from San Francisco for this video shoot.

Lady and the Tramp is a 2019 American musical romance film directed by Charlie Bean and written by Andrew Bujalski and Kari Granlund, and produced by Walt Disney Pictures. Disney Art Workshop introduced as tiny Noelle and Lady and the Tramp crochet Christmas Tree ornaments come to life. As a freelance makeup artist, I worked directly with the artist who made the Christmas ornaments and got her hair and makeup ready for our shoot. The production team wanted to keep the artist as natural and camera ready as possible so I had to make sure her hair and makeup look great throughout the day.

It was a pleasure to work with Disney on this project and hope to work with them again on another production as a freelance makeup artist.

Los Angeles makeup artist | True Botanicals Social Media Videos

As a Los Angeles makeup artist, Tiger House Films hired me for their True Botanicals social media videos. We shot vertically on an Arri Alexa mini with an L bracket to flip the camera sideways.

Natural skincare brand True Botanicals reached out to Tiger House Films commercial production company in Los Angeles through New York Agent Quickframe Inc., to film and edit a series of social media videos for their line of skincare products. As a makeup artist, it was a great experience working with True Botanicals because their products are filled with natural and organic ingredients and their skin and body products promise results without toxins.

About True Botanicals: The skincare company based out of San Francisco, has a unique past. After being diagnosed with thyroid cancer, Hillary Peterson (the founder of True Botanicals), channeled her fear and frustration with the beauty industry into research—and a passion for creating pure, potent, and proven products that are good for people and the planet. Her bold vision motivates the entire True Botanicals team: a small but mighty band of (mostly) women based in Northern California.

Tiger House Films filmed the social media videos in Downtown LA in a photo loft with beautiful decor and sunlight. Our model for this project was Olga Safari, who has great energy and was perfect for this client due to her flawless skin. This was my third time working with Olga.

It was a pleasure to work with Tiger House Films and True Botanicals on this project and hope to work with them again on another production as a Los Angeles makeup artist.

As a makeup artist in Los Angeles, I’ve collaborated with Luminess Beauty. Our collaboration with Luminess Beauty started when I reached out to the brand through their website and requested their support of my work as a makeup artist. Through that connection they sent me their most current products that I love to use.

Luminess Beauty sent me an amazing contour palette and 2 eye shadow palettes. Both of the eye shadow palettes are essentials to your makeup kit. Natural eye makeup never goes out of style. These palettes came with a series of gray, taupe, gold, brown, olive, burnt orange, and nude eye shadow shades, so you can embrace a natural makeup look that’s totally on-trend.

Founded by current CEO, Sean Mehta, Luminess was created as a professional quality Airbrush Cosmetics line that was designed to be easy-to-use for the at-home consumer. Today, they celebrate over five million airbrush units sold and their fifth-generation airbrush system which is the smallest, lightest, and most precise system available on the market. Being a makeup artist in Los Angeles means that you have to have a social media base/portfolio ( such as Instagram, Facebook ) with a significant and engaged following. Because of my professional background in Hollywood, endorsing specific makeup and beauty brands through shareable, digital content allows brands to get their products to the right people.

I really enjoyed collaborating with Luminess beauty. I get excited about working with new makeup products and about what I can achieve with their products from project to project.
