Fitness Fashion Stylist | Nurture Digital x NASM Campaign

As an fitness fashion stylist in Los Angeles, I had the luck to work with Nurture Digital, a creative content agency. Nurture is an ad agency that creates and promotes online video campaigns for brands big and small. 

Nurture Digital hired me for the activewear fashion stylist position on this shoot. Their team produced this 3 days commercial shoot. Nurture is a first-class digital agency. They always exceed expectations when it comes to the final product and are always on time hitting deadlines, no matter how short the turnaround time might be. It was very exciting to collaborate with Nurture Digital on this NASM advertising campaign. Me and my assistant had a couple of days pre-production work to select and prepare all of the talents outfits for the shoot days. I worked in conjunction with the agency and video team to organize the shot list and decide how any outfit changes talents needed in order to capture the concept the client required.

About NASM: Now in their 30th year, the National Academy of Sports Medicine has been world-renowned for the quality of their personal trainers and the scientific rigor of their program. NASM offers a Certified Personal Training program, with 4 learning packages available. And NASM specializations can take your personal training skills to a whole new level.

I had a wonderful time working with Nurture Digital and NASM as a fitness fashion stylist and hope to create a lasting business relationship with them for the future.

Celebrity Makeup Artist | Amazon Alexa Holiday Campaign

As a celebrity makeup artist, I had the luck of working with Amazon and Stept Studios on their Alexa holiday commercial shoot in Los Angeles, CA.

I groomed 8 talents in total for this commercial shoot. We were going for camera-ready, natural looks. We were filming 4 commercials during 2 shooting days in a house location.

Applying primer is the first and most important step when I start to work on a camera ready makeup look. It will help reflect light and create the illusion of invisible pores. The next step is a semi-matte finish foundation. That is the best if you are going to take a lot of photos. It does not make your skin look too dry or oily in the pictures.

The commercial was produced by Stept Studios. About the company: Stept is an award-winning creative and production studio known for work that feels more like entertainment than advertising. They partner with brands, agencies, and platforms to create campaigns, commercials, and branded content with authenticity at its core. Their award-winning roster of directors represents the next generation of storytellers, working across commercial and documentary genres.

Amazon Alexa, also known simply as Alexa, is a virtual assistant technology largely based on a Polish speech synthesiser named Ivona, bought by Amazon in 2013. It was first used in the Amazon Echo smart speaker and the Echo Dot, Echo Studio and Amazon Tap speakers developed by Amazon Lab126.

As a Los Angeles makeup artist, I had the luck of working with DTS and the director of Puss in Boots: The Last Wish on an interview. The interview was produced by Tiger House Films. We were filming the interview during 1 day on the Warner Brother Studios in a sound stage studio loft in Burbank, California.

I groomed 5 talents in total, including the director Christopher Miller. We were going for camera-ready, natural looks for this interview shoot.

Puss in Boots: The Last Wish is a 2011 American computer-animated comedy film produced by DreamWorks Animation and distributed by Paramount Pictures. The film was directed by Chris Miller—who also directed Shrek the Third (2007)—and written by Tom Wheeler.

Christopher Miller is an American film producer, director, and writer who is an executive producer for Solo: A Star Wars Story. Miller and industry partner Phil Lord were the original directors of the film, but were replaced by Ron Howard.

About DTS:

DTS, Inc. (originally Digital Theater Systems) is an American company that makes multichannel audio technologies for film and video.Based in Calabasas, California, the company introduced its DTS technology in 1993 as a competitor to Dolby Laboratories, incorporating DTS in the film Jurassic Park (1993). The DTS product is used in surround sound formats for both commercial/theatrical and consumer-grade applications.

As a hair and makeup artist in Los Angeles, I had the luck of working with Rich Roll on his documentary. The short films was produced by Salomon TV and Stept Studios.

About Rich Roll:

A graduate of Stanford University and Cornell Law School, Rich is a 50-year old, accomplished vegan ultra-endurance athlete and former entertainment attorney turned full-time wellness & plant-based nutrition advocate, popular public speaker, husband, father of 4 and inspiration to people worldwide as a transformative example of courageous and healthy living.

A famous podcast and a familiar voice, one we’ve heard quiz all of our running heroes. A voice that offers athletes a space to open up about their lives as runners and beyond. But what’s the story behind that voice? What is the story of Rich Roll? Rich shares a letter of his life, the impact of addiction, and how running helped bring him back to the surface. He reminds us that in order to overcome pain, we must overcome our fear of change, and that anything is possible if we just ask; “what am I truly capable of?”.

Ben Bridge Holiday Campaign | Commercial Stylist

As a commercial stylist, I had the luck of working with Ben Bridge on their 2022 holiday campaign. The commercial was produced by Tiger House Films in Seattle, Washington.

About Ben Bridge: Ben Bridge Jeweler is a high-end American jewelry retailer that sells engagement rings, diamonds and watches, including Rolex, among other luxury product and is currently owned by Warren Buffett’s Berkshire Hathaway.

Here are the not-so-official rules of pairing necklaces with an outfit to look your best:

  • Minimal necklaces and fine silver or gold chains can pair with most shirts. Wear these with a t-shirt, or a v-cut if you want to show off your clavicle.
  • Solid shirts and plain tops can always use a necklace to add definition and create interest.
  • High necklines (like a turtleneck, collared shirt, or mock neck) benefit from statement or layered necklaces.
  • If you’re wearing a flowy or loose shirt, use a necklace to give your body definition, and prevent the shirt from overwhelming your body.

As a Los Angeles celebrity stylist, I had the luck of working with Focus Entertainment on their Evil West commercial featuring Danny Trejo.

About Focus Entertainment: Focus Entertainment is a French video game developer and publisher based in Paris, France. Founded in 1996, Focus has published and distributed original titles such as Sherlock Holmes, TrackMania, Runaway, and sports games like Cycling Manager and Virtual Skipper.

This commercial spot was produced by Tiger House Films.

These advertising spots were directed by Dessil Bas. Our celebrity actor was Danny Trejo, Danny Trejo is an American actor. He has appeared in films including Desperado, Heat, and the From Dusk Till Dawn film series.

About Evil West: Evil West, the third-person action adventure that puts you in the boots of a vampire hunter rescuing a Wild West devoured by darkness, shared a new video starring actor Danny Trejo in a priceless performance.

About Meta: Meta Platforms, Inc., doing business as Meta and formerly named Facebook, Inc., and TheFacebook, Inc., is an American multinational technology conglomerate based in Menlo Park, California. The company owns Facebook, Instagram, and WhatsApp, among other products and services.

This commercial spot was produced by Scout House. Scout House is an immersive media company focused on developing and producing educational programs and specializing in mixed-reality and Live Drive animation production. The company is focused on creating digital content such as immersive and educational programs, events and installations.

These advertising spots were directed by Lorenzo, he is a Filipino-American writer and film director originally from Southern California and currently based out of Brooklyn. By taking a story-first approach he built bold, emotional, and visually rich narratives with humanity and heart. Each world is crafted with realism and with it, a deep sense of empathy for the story. Ultimately, his goal is to make something everyone is proud to have been a part of.

He has worked with a range of clients from 3M, Nike, the NHL, General Mills, BMW, Goldman Sachs to celebrities and athletes like Lebron James, Steph Curry, Mark Ronson, and more.

As a TV commercial stylist in Los Angeles, I had the luck of working with La Michoacana on their commercial spots. We were shooting for 1 day in Los Angeles, CA.

About La Michoacana:

At La Michoacana they produce high-quality and innovative paletas, Coolstix (traditionally known as bolis), and vasitos (cups), spreading Felicidad throughout thousands of retail stores in the United States. Their paletas have real ice cream and/or inclusions like fruit, nuts, and chocolate that you can see and taste in every paleta, bolis, or cup.

This commercial spot was produced by Nurture Digital. Nurture is a first-class digital agency. They always exceed expectations when it comes to the final product and is always on time hitting deadlines, no matter how short the turnaround time might be. They’re bringing Hollywood filmmaking standards, equipment, and expertise to cities throughout the U.S., helping brands and agencies get more production value for their money.

I loved the concept of this shoot, I styled approximately 6 actors during this branded commercial shoot in different outfits. The photo and video campaign was produced by Nurture Digital.

As a celebrity stylist and makeup artist, I get interviewed by Tibloom a Los Angeles, CA-based fashion magazine.

About Tibloom: Bella Trost is the founder of Tibloom Magzine. She is a former gymnast and member of the Hungarian National Team of Sports Aerobics (1999-2001) and a multiple-time world champion fitness athlete and bikini model. She is a qualified sport, dance, and yoga coach, as well as a nutritionist. She spent half of her life training, working out, and doing both dancing and sports professionally.

One of my favorite questions from the interview:

“What does it take to become a good stylist?

In my opinion, you have to look at each overall project. You have to be detail-oriented but can’t get lost too much in the details, what will matter is how everything comes together so you have to focus on the important, broad-scope elements.

You have to have creativity, the ability to imagine, and great communication skills. Another important ability is to quickly spot styles, and trends and to see what works for the client design-wise at the moment. It is a complex job but you learn and grow with every job. ”

About me and my job: As a wardrobe stylist, I’m responsible for making the outfit look its best for the production. Whether I’m working on a film, a television commercial, a reality show, a photoshoot, a tv show, or on prime-time television, as a film wardrobe stylist, I must get the look and feel of the clothing needed for the production that I’m working on.

As a commercial makeup artist in Los Angeles, I had the luck of working with Wendy’s on a national TV commercial advertising spot.

The Wendy’s Company is an American holding company for the major fast food chain Wendy’s. Its headquarters are in Dublin, Ohio.

The commercial was produced by Stept Studios. About the company: Stept is an award-winning creative and production studio known for work that feels more like entertainment than advertising. They partner with brands, agencies, and platforms to create campaigns, commercials, and branded content with authenticity at its core. Their award-winning roster of directors represents the next generation of storytellers, working across commercial and documentary genres.

Their family of services gives brands and agencies the opportunity to create cinematic content at scale and with incredible agility. They offer a highly individualized approach to commercial production, creative services, and entertainment. Every project is different, and they tailor their services to the needs of the project.

The national TV commercial concept was to create a romantic comedy feeling. We were inspired by the Too hot to handle TV show, which concept is that a group of determined singles visit paradise to meet, mingle, and remain celibate for their chance to win a large sum of money.

We were going for a glam hair and makeup look for our actors. Wavy hair, glowing skin, brushed-through brows, diffused eyeshadow, and a natural, neutral lip.

I had an amazing time collaborating with Wendy’s and Stept Studios as a commercial makeup artist in Los Angeles, I hope to create a long-lasting relationship with them in the future.
