Los Angeles Makeup Artist | International Sunglasses Campaign

Los Angeles Makeup Artist | International Sunglasses Campaign

As a Los Angeles makeup artist I got hired by Tiger House Films commercial production company to work on an international sunglasses photo + video campaign. We worked on this shoot during 2 days around Venice beach in Los Angeles, CA.

An international sunglasses brand reached out to Tiger House Films in Los Angeles from Sweden to create a commercial for their new line of bone-conduction bluetooth audio eyewear. Their goal was to create lots of excitement around the new product with a Venice Beach-themed commercial with a colorful Instagram aesthetic.

Tiger House Films advertising agency in Los Angeles hired instagram models and skaters to act and model in this high energy production centered around the Venice Beach culture. Shot in conjunction with brand testimonials on the Venice boardwalk and a campaign style photoshoot, THF commercial production included skating, basketball, a pool party and focused vfx on the groundbreaking technology of the product.

The sunglasses brand is a new brand utilizing bone conduction audio technology to listen to your favorite music and take phone calls via Siri via wireless bluetooth. With bone conduction headphones perceptions of the outside world are not blocked. Bone conduction allows the wearer to hear with open ears to the surroundings. Sound is transmitted through the skull into inner ear rather than through the air, therefore the need for traditional earbuds had been eradicated. With this new technology, my job as an Los Angeles makeup artist was to focus on keeping the models vibe cool.

Beauty Makeup Artist | Collaboration with Live Art Love

Beauty Makeup Artist | Collaboration with Live Art Love

As a Los Angeles beauty makeup artist I often collaborate with other creatives. Live Art Love hired me for their beauty shoot in August 2019. I love to work with companies who have great taste in their work and eye for beauty. We worked on this photo shoot during 1 day in a studio in Los Angeles, CA.

Live Art Love is a creative company. They operate all over the globe. With Los Angeles, San Francisco, and New York as their main cities. Live Art Love centers around finding the heart of the story. Specializing in storytelling with video production and photography. With an in-house team of photographers, editors, graphic designers, directors and writers. Working together to capture emotions, tone, and branding of a product, start up or a fashion line.

Let me tell you a little bit about the shoot. We worked with 2 agency models from Los Angeles, our art direction was straight forward as we all wanted to capture the models natural beauty. As a Los Angeles beauty makeup artist I really enjoyed our collaboration because this shoot gave me the freedom of creating beauty makeup looks. I prepped both of the models skin with Touch In Sol primer, Paris-Berlin foundation and setting spray.

For one of the model I did a glossy cat eye makeup and straightened her hair, for the other model I created a smokey eye makeup and curly hair with my Amika curling wand kit. I kept their lips natural and applied a light tone Anastasia Beverly Hills lipstick and added Revlon lip-gloss at the end.

Los Angeles Beauty Influencer | TYME Iron Pro Collaboration

Los Angeles Beauty Influencer | TYME Iron Pro Collaboration

As a Los Angeles beauty influencer I often collaborate with different brands. TYME sent to me a package including their Iron Pro, Upstaged Thermal Protectant and their Tymeless Protect & Shine. As a beauty influencer in Los Angeles, I mostly work on TV commercials, branded videos, and campaigns so I always need to have my kit professionally put together for my clients. TYME products really help me to stay professional and ready for any situation.

I love my TYME iron, you can create any hairstyle you like with it!  You should expect your TYME Iron curls to last for days. Below are a couple of tips to help get more life out of your style:

  • Make sure you are curling at a slow speed, with loose tension. If you gliding too quickly down the hair strand your hair won’t properly heat, which can cause your curls to fall.
  • Evaluate your foundational products.
  • Check your temperature setting. If your hair is thick or naturally curly you may need to go up a heat setting to set in your curls.

TYME designs products that give every individual the confidence to recognize their own unique beauty. They are a small company, and a family, who are committed to making life easier with superior products, next level customer service and education.

Being a Los Angeles influencer means having a social media base with a significant and engaged following. Because of my professional background in Hollywood,  endorsing specific makeup and beauty brands through shareable, digital content allows brands to get their products to the right people.

I really enjoyed collaborating with the TYME. I get excited about working with new beauty products and about what I can achieve with their products from project to project.

L.A. Creative Coordinator | “The Society” Branded Videos

L.A. Creative Coordinator | “The Society” Branded Videos

As an L.A. creative coordinator, I coordinated the art department and managed the communication between the NETFLIX team and our THF team. I was helping the production team, Tiger House Films, in the hiring process so I reached out to a lot of people who we thought were a good fit for this client. Styling the sets and my ability to shape the look of the project through my creative coordination and bringing on the creative team was the basis for Tiger House Films hiring me to be a part of the project.

Tiger House Films boutique commercial production company has partnered with Netflix to create branded videos for The Society’s Instagram and other social media platforms.

The Society is an American mystery teen drama web television series created by Christopher Keyser, that premiered on Netflix on May 10, 2019. The Society is perfect for those who love a teen drama with an edgy twist. It deals with a bunch of kids who are forced to become the leaders of their town after their parents mysteriously vanish.

Netflix, Inc. is an American media-services provider headquartered in Los Gatos, California, founded in 1997 by Reed Hastings and Marc Randolph in Scotts Valley, California. Netflix is the world’s leading internet entertainment service with over 148 million paid memberships in over 190 countries enjoying TV series, documentaries and feature films across a wide variety of genres and languages. Members can watch as much as they want, anytime, anywhere, on any internet-connected screen. Members can play, pause and resume watching, all without commercials or commitments.

From the beginning Birdies team was seeking a boutique production company in Los Angeles for their production. Tiger House Films flexibility and creative input was the perfect match for their needs. As a Los Angeles creative coordinator I had a great time working with this team and hope to collaborate again soon.

Los Angeles Makeup Artist | Lifestyle shoot in DTLA

Los Angeles Makeup Artist | Lifestyle shoot in DTLA

Being a Los Angeles makeup artist I would like to share with you a couple of tricks and basic fixes which will help to deal with shiny or uneven skin tone, tired eyes, and unpronounced features in general. In real life, there’s nothing targeting and bouncing light off of your face, washing out your features. The human eye sees differently than the lens of a camera, which is why you look very different in the mirror versus in a picture.

Let’s start with the basics:

Mattifying, full-coverage base makeup will help your skin to look soft and even, plus it will combat shininess. Using a makeup brush will help to blend the product into a natural-looking finish.

Next up – Foundation: With a foundation brush, blend foundation evenly all over clean, moisturized skin.

Don’t forget the concealer: Apply your foundation first and then conceal the problem areas that still stand out. Use a minimal amount of concealer and blend well.

Last but not least – Translucent Powder: Lightly sweep powder over the center of the forehead, the center of the nose, and chin. Apply it as a final step, so you can tell where you need it, it will remove shine. A glow-y complexion looks great in person, but on camera, it can reflect like an oil slick. The trick is to leave the dewiness on your cheeks, but keep the middle of your face matte.

Check out my next blog articles for other on camera makeup tricks like creating natural eyebrows, eyeshadow,  eyelashes, lipstick and applying bronzer, blush, and highlighter for contouring.

I worked with them for the first time in 2017, and I hope to work on more fashion shoots with them. This project was shot on location around The Bund in Shanghai, China. It took us one day to finish the shoot and I really loved the results.

A little bit about Viktor Chan photographer, Rimagine is an internationally-owned and managed creative production studio, helping clients bring their brands to life. We offer end-to-end creative design and production management services, including commercial studio and location photography and videography, 3D rendering, retouching, artist and talent booking, set building, prop hunting, model castings and more.

Rui brought 5 amazing looks to our shoot and we selected the best ones on the day of the ones we shot.

I want to share some of the practices related to being an editorial makeup artist. Some of these practices have really helped me to become excellent at my job. I created a red smokey eye and natural lips for our model, Julianna Mucsi, Hungarian model, founder of I-Agency.

I got hired into this commercial production as a Los Angeles fashion stylist and creative coordinator. Tiger House Films, a boutique production company in Los Angeles, the ultimate goal is to create the best project possible with creative, interesting people. For this reason, it was a dream for THF commercial production team to be working with Zelda Andreoli of Brand Consulting Agency Zelda ZeldaGolab Agency and commercial director Ced Stefan Pakusevskij of FullScream.

The Napapijri SS19 Fashion Commercial stills and video campaign that THF produced with this international crew has been featured in an article in Vogue Italia. It is always a goal for any commercial and fashion production company to be involved in projects that are well received by the international fashion community and being featured in an iconic publication such as Vogue, puts the cherry on top of what was an incredible collaboration with out production partners on this campaign.

As a Los Angeles fashion stylist and creative coordinator I was responsible of all the looks were lined up and organized for the stills and video shoot. This fashion commercial campaign is for the launch of Napapijri’s SS19 Collection, which envisions “an unlimited future where different ethnic and diverse inspirations come together to form a collage of aesthetic influences: from Moroccan tapestries to workers’ uniforms, all the way to 1980s’ preppy Miami”.

I got hired by THF as a Los Angeles creative coordinator to work on this commercial. Tiger House Films was approached by Zelda Andreoli of Brand Consulting Agency Zelda Zelda to work with Golab Agency and creative director Ced stefan pakusevskij of FullScream to be the on the ground production company for the new Napapijri SS19 Fashion Commercial stills and video campaign.

The new campaign for Napapijri produced by Tiger House Films fashion commercial production company in Los Angeles entitled “Future-Positive”, is the new Spring/Summer 2019 campaign by Napapijri. The Italian, Milan based brand has an inclusive approach in this campaign, expressed through the casting of globally diverse and emotionally expressive models. The story artfully mixes friendship, adventure, and romance following the cast as they initiate a new member to the Napapijri Tribe.

Tiger House Films fashion commercial production spanned 2 days with locations all over Los Angeles from the LA River to The Hollywood Hills to Malibu. With a cast of young models from several agencies, the logistical challenges were often present but handled by the on the ground team of producers and stellar crew. Eli Arenson was our DP and he chose to use Panavision as our camera vendor for the project. We were also supported by our aerial collaborators Drone Dudes as we captured some incredible shots from both the air and on the ground.

As a Los Angeles creative coordinator I was responsible of the wardrobe styling, hair / makeup looks and generally the film creative appearance during this fashion commercial production. This fashion commercial campaign will be a part of the launch of Napapijri’s SS19 Collection, which envisions an unlimited future where different ethnic and diverse inspirations come together to form a collage of aesthetic influences: from Moroccan tapestries to workers’ uniforms, all the way to 1980s’ preppy Miami.

We hope to work with this international team in the near future as it was a stellar experience the first time around!
