Advertising Makeup Artist in Los Angeles | Portrait Shoot with Rémy Tortosa

Professional advertising makeup artist in Los Angeles. I’m a freelance makeup artist and hairstylist with more than 8 years in the industry. I’m a mobile makeup artist based in LA. Available for commercial, advertising, fashion, red carpet, event makeup, bridal/wedding makeup, and any and all media. I also provide wardrobe-fashion styling services for commercials and fashion shoots.

We shot these portrait pictures in Rémy‘s studio in West Hollywood. Rémy is a self-taught photographer who has always had a fascination for people. Born and raised in the suburb of Paris, he moved to Los Angeles in 2016. He is one of those photographers with a humanist approach and he privileges the soul and the personality.

In the Los Angeles entertainment industry, Film and TV might be one of the hardest makeup to create since you’re trying your hardest to make the subject look natural but using products that are HD friendly and full coverage. In the entertainment industry, lights and high-quality cameras are very powerful. With such harsh lighting on set, as an advertising makeup artist, I need to find and use products that will stay on, hide every pore, and always have their touch-up powder with them.

Thankfully with many years of experience, I have my makeup kit fully equipped for every project. Included in your kit should be the basics: brushes, disposables, sanitation, skincare, and tons of makeup that should be versatile and used for different skin types and tones. Your own kit is unique to you because you have the types of products and tools that you’re comfortable with.

I had an excellent time collaborating with Rémy Tortosa as an advertising makeup artist in Los Angeles, I hope to create a long-lasting relationship with him for the future.

Makeup/Hair Combo in Los Angeles | Alessia Cara – Trust My Lonely Music Video

As a makeup/hair combo in Los Angeles, I collaborated with Mariah Morgenstern on a music video production for the Alessia Cara – Trust My Lonely project. Huffmann Creative produced the content of this video, they are a video production company based in LA. They work on everything short form, from music videos to documentaries.

Mariah Morgenstern is a graduate from the University of Central Florida with a degree in Film and a minor in Mass Communications. She has had the opportunity to produce content artists such as Alessia Cara, Mansionair, and Pop Evil. Her understanding of the business side of filmmaking has only sharpened her tool belt in the creative world as a director. She is a believer in keeping the cinema alive, driven by her passion to get audience members out of their house and into the theater.

I love my job as a makeup/hair combo in Los Angeles and I enjoy working with a wide range of different looks and styles that my clients request. As a Los Angeles makeup artist, I work a lot on music videos, fashion shoots, commercials, television, and film. Being a hair – makeup combo allows me the freedom of creating a full look for the models and actors.

Fashion Stylist in Los Angeles | Fitz Frames Commercial

As a fashion stylist in Los Angeles, I had the luck working with Fitz Frames , a customized glass company for kids. Their staple styles and colors will always be available. Kids can grow with their favorite frames. Parents can relax knowing we won’t discontinue them.

Being a fashion stylist in Los Angeles, I styled 2 moms and 2 kids and selected for them multiple wardrobe looks. I advised them which brands will fit them for this commercial shoot and communicate with the client on fashion trends, clothing styles, colors, and make-up matching to their brand. As a wardrobe stylist in Los Angeles, I love working with kids, they always bring a great energy to the set.

Makeup Artist Los Angeles | The Ceremony Short Film

As a makeup artist Los Angeles, I’ve had the opportunity to work with Addie Doyle and Lee Hurst on their “The Ceremony” short film. I was the key makeup artist and hairstylist on this project.

Addie Doyle is an LA-based actress and filmmaker whose work has been featured at Chelsea Film Festival, New York Short Film Festival, Independent Shorts Festival, and jellyFest. She spent her youth performing in a dance company in Boston, and now acts, sings, writes, and produces in Los Angeles. She graduated with honors from NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts.

Lee Hurst is a New York-based actor, writer, and comedian, a seen on @comedycentral @elitedaily @refinery29 and on @galore. She is the winner of the JD Power Award for the last three years in a row as well.

About “The Ceremony”: A dinner party between the two leaders of a cult goes awry as they talk about power and the direction of their cult. It will screen in 2021. As an LA-based makeup artist, I created an old Hollywood hair and makeup look for the actresses during this 3 overnight short film production.

Our director was Jeremy Stewart, he likes surreal, dark, magical, and fantastical things. Modern myths, folklore, re-interpretations of stories we’ve all heard before. You can watch the trailer here: https://vimeo.com/360911606

Personal Stylist Los Angeles | FUPIN Group – MRH Sparotica Groupe Collaboration

As a personal stylist Los Angeles, I had the luck to work with Fupin Group – MRH Sarotica Groupe, MRH SpaRotica Groupé curates an exceptional array of evocative premium fashion brands with longterm survivability that transcends global fashion trends.

We worked with 2 international models from ESEE Model Management. Founded in 2002, ESEE model management is the leading professional model agency in China. ESEE represents a diverse collection of Chinese and foreign models across Asia.

Being a personal stylist, I styled these 2 models and selected for them countless wardrobe looks. I advised them which brands will fit them and communicated with Fupin Group on new fashion trends, clothing styles, colors, and make-up.

Depending on how I’m getting hired by the client, a personal stylist job is not to be confused with a wardrobe stylist job. When I select the clothing for published editorial features, print or television advertising campaigns, music videos, concert performances, and public appearances made by celebrities and models. As a personal stylist, I typically work one-on-one with the client, while when I’m doing wardrobe styling I’m often part of a larger creative team collaborating with a brand, photographer, art director and a video production team to put together a particular look or theme for the specific project.

Activewear Fashion Stylist | Nurture Digital x NASM Zumba Shoot

As an activewear fashion stylist in Los Angeles, I had the luck to work with Nurture Digital, a creative content agency. Nurture is an ad agency that creates and promotes online video campaigns for brands big and small. NASM is partnering with ZUMBA to extend its network that will explore what it means to be a team.

Nurture Digital hired me for the activewear fashion stylist position on this shoot. Their team produced this 4 days commercial shoot. Nurture is a first-class digital agency. They always exceed expectations when it comes to the final product and are always on time hitting deadlines, no matter how short the turnaround time might be. It was very exciting to collaborate with Nurture Digital on this NASM advertising campaign. I had a couple of days pre-production work to select and prepare all of the talents outfits for the shoot days. I worked in conjunction with the agency and video team to organize the shot list and decide how any outfit changes talents needed in order to capture the concept the client required.

About NASM: Now in their 30th year, the National Academy of Sports Medicine has been world-renowned for the quality of their personal trainers and the scientific rigor of their program. NASM offers a Certified Personal Training program, with 4 learning packages available. And NASM specializations can take your personal training skills to a whole new level.

NASM and ZUMBA Fitness are collaborating on different personal trainer programs. ZUMBA is pretty much the most awesome workout ever. Dance to great music, with great people, and burn a ton of calories without even realizing it.

Wardrobe Stylist in Los Angeles | IKARIA Resort Wear Behind the Scenes

As a wardrobe stylist in Los Angeles, I got hired by Tiger House Films production company to work on an international resort wear photo + video campaign. We worked on this shoot for 1 day in Palm Springs, California. I love to work with fashion brands that have high-end taste in their work and ad materials.

We worked with the beautiful Brazilian model Barbara Fialho, who is best known for being associated with Victoria’s Secret for many years. She is a Brazilian fashion model. She was born in the city of Montes Claros, Minas Gerais and started her modeling career at the age of 15. Barbara has graced renowned fashion weeks. She has worked with some of the most prestigious designers, photographers and publications in fashion.

The owner of Ikaria Resort Wear had a clear vision of what she wanted to express with this collection so I had to follow the guidelines and as a wardrobe stylist in Los Angeles, I had to make sure that we capture every single piece of dresses in this spring-summer collection. Since we were shooting in conjunction with photo and video we kept our schedule very tight to capture everything. This collection was inspired by the old Hollywood glamour with a Cuban flair that can be felt throughout the ethereal luxe 100% Silk 20-piece collection, designed to effortlessly transition from beach to dinner to the red carpet.

I had a great time working with Ikaria Resort Wear and Tiger House Films team as a wardrobe stylist and hope to create a lasting business relationship with them for the future.
